R.M.G. & SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: MEASURES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Sustainable development represents a focal point of R.M.G. Raffineria Metalli Guizzi S.p.A. company policy. This is completely in accordance with the increasing need and requirement for enterprises to act with respect for surrounding environment. 

The company strongly promotes sustainability through continuous commitment in maintaining and improving pollution prevention systems.
In fact, R.M.G. always monitors and implements both environmental and social protection. This is possible thanks to:

• An air purifier: it allows filtering and abatement of fumes originated during production process in compliance with increasingly strict regulations. Its purpose is to prevent the release of potential dangerous substances into surrounding environment.
• A tank for rainwater collection and filtering: it collects and filters first flush rainwater in order to avoid the release of potential polluting substances into surrounding environment.

Moreover, during 2018, the company started and completed a new project for the construction of a noise barrier. R.M.G. wanted to safeguard the surrounding community against potential noise pollution, being the company located in the industrial area of Villa Carcina, which is ab. 100 meters away from the nearby residential area of Sarezzo municipality. 

Construction projects of these devices required considerable investments for the company throughout time, but their final goal is to achieve a positive impact both from an environmental and social point of view. 

A proof of the company interest in maintaining a safe and clean environment also for the community is the achievement of certification UNI EN ISO 14001:2015.
